Cucumber acts as a natural astringent and reportedly helps tighten pores by its skin-smoothing and skin-conditioning properties. Wheat protein has amino acids that are easily absorbed into the skin, and, as a hydrating complex, it offers a combination of moisture-balancing and film-forming properties which impart a soothing feeling.
